The Gcabs Platform user is referred to as “you” and “your” in these terms. Any services provided by Gcabs. You, whether on the Gcabs Platform or elsewhere, are referred to as “Services” in this sentence.

Before using the Gcabs Platform or giving Gcabs any personal information, please read our Policy. This Policy is a part of and incorporated into the applicable Terms and Conditions, which should be read in conjunction with this Policy.

  1. Definition

The phrases capitalised in the Privacy Policy shall have the meanings specified above, unless otherwise stipulated in this Privacy Policy:

  • Drivers are independent third-party rider or vehicle operators who want to provide services to a User on the Gcabs Platform.
  • “Customer” shall mean a person who desires to obtain services of the drivers on the Gcabs Platform.
  • A computer, mobile phone, or other device used to access the Services is referred to as a “device”.
  • “Mobile Application” shall mean application offered by us on the Device to access the Services.
  • Mobile Device Information” shall have the meaning assigned to the term in paragraph 2(II)(e)(ii) hereto.
  • “Protected Information” refers to any information that could be used to reasonably identify you as an individual, such as your name, email address, and phone number.
  • “Usage Information” shall have the meaning provided to the word in paragraph 2(II)(a) here to.



We might need certain Protected Information from you. We may collect this information through numerous ways and in various places across the Services, including account registration forms, contact us forms, or when you otherwise engage with us. When you sign up to use the Services, you create a user profile. Only Protected Information that is required to be collected by us for a specific purpose and is related to our Services will be requested from you by us.

The information you need to create or change your Gcabs account includes your Email ID, Name, Address, Mobile Number, Gender, Date of Birth, Login name, and Password.

  • By using Our Services, you authorise us to collect and retain information about you so that we can fulfil your requests and pre-fill forms for further transactions. This information may include (but is not limited to) your name, phone number, address, email address, billing information, etc.
  • Contact Gcabs for customer service.
  • Report issues so they can be fixed.
  • If you register to use our services as a vendor or a driver, we may collect information about your location, profile picture, copies of your government-issued identification documents, other details (KYC), vehicle-related documents (such as insurance, pollution certificates, etc.), and other documents that prove your vehicle is in good enough condition to provide services on the Gcabs Platform.
  • We gather the drivers’ background check and identification verification data. This might contain details like driving history, criminal background, and employment eligibility (where allowed by law). An authorised vendor may gather this data on the company’s behalf.
  • Enable features that need Gcabs to have access to other programmes on your device if you decide to register as a Driver in order to stop frauds against customers.


Location data:

Drivers: When the Gcabs App is open and active on the user’s mobile device or when it is not active (running in the background), Gcabs gathers location data. Only when the drivers have turned on the “On-Duty” indicator on the Gcabs App does Gcabs gather location data.

Customers: If they give us permission, we can obtain precise or approximate location information from the users’ mobile devices. From the time a trip or delivery is requested until it is complete, as well as whenever the app is open in the user’s mobile device’s foreground, Gcabs collects this information. We utilise this information to make your experience with our applications better, including by enhancing pick-up locations, enabling safety features, and detecting and preventing fraud. Even if the customer has not given us permission to acquire location data from their smartphone, Gcabs gathers the location data of the drivers and ties it with the customer’s account. This makes it possible for us to provide our customers with services like receipt generation and customer assistance.


  • The Mobile Application is primarily used to deliver Our Services. To make it easier to provide you with software updates, product support, and other services (if any) related to such Mobile Applications, we may collect and use technical data and related information,system and application software, and peripherals.
  • In addition to the Device Information, any of our mobile applications that you use may automatically gather and retain any or all of the following data from your mobile device (“Mobile Device Information”), including but not limited to:

  • To facilitate trip bookings on behalf of another user, we will collect their contact details, ensuring privacy and secure handling of their information in accordance with our updated privacy policy


  1. Your improved experience while using the Services is our top priority while collecting your information. We use your information, including usage patterns and geographic locations to decide where we should offer or focus services, features, and/or resources, to determine which features of the Services are used the most, to let you view your trip history, rate trips, and to identify which features we need to focus on improving.
  2. We will send you a welcome email to confirm your username and password based on the Protected Information you offer us when registering for an account.
  3. We utilise the data gathered from our mobile application to provide you the appropriate app version based on your device type.
  4. On rare cases when it is essential, we will only send you announcements that are directly relevant to our services. For instance, we could alert you if our Services are briefly put on hold for maintenance. You can choose to cancel your account if you do not want to receive them.
  5. To avoid, identify, and look into infringements of this Privacy Statement, any relevant terms of service, or the conditions of use for the Mobile Application, as well as to look into fraud, chargebacks, or other such violations, we may utilise the information we collect from you.
  6. We give the drivers who approves your request for transportation some of your protected information (such your name, pick-up address, and contact number) so that the drivers can get in touch with and locate you.
  7. When it comes to the Customers, we use the geo-location data for a variety of things, such as allowing the Customers to see the drivers nearby who can provide services to You, automatically obtaining your location when you open the Gcabs App, allowing the drivers to pinpoint the pickup location, and allowing you (if you choose through any features we may provide) to share this information with others for your safety.
  8. In the case of the drivers, we use the geo-location data to enable the drivers to receive orders close to his location even when the Gcabs App is not in use or closed (only when the drivers activates the icon “On-Duty” on the Gcabs App), to enable the Customers to track the distance of the drivers from their location for pick-up, and to share the exact location for the Customers’ safety.
  9. We do not use the information collected from you for targeted advertising.
  10. We will collect contact details from the user to book trips on their behalf, ensuring privacy and secure handling of their information according to our updated privacy policy.


  • To enforce and abide by the law, we work together with governmental, law enforcement, and commercial entities. Therefore, if we deem reasonably necessary or appropriate, we may access, utilize, store, transmit, and disclose your information (including Protected Information,or geo-location data) to Government or law enforcement officials or private parties: (i) to comply with any applicable law, regulation, subpoenas, government requests, or legal process; (ii) to defend the terms and conditions for online and mobile services or other policies applicable to any online and mobile services, including looking into potential violations of those terms and conditions; iii) to defend the Company’s or our Services’ safety, rights, property, or security; (iii) to defend the public’s safety for any reason; (iv) to identify, stop, or otherwise deal with fraud, security, or technical problems; and/or (vi) to prevent or end activity that we may deem to be, or to pose a risk of being, illegal, unethical, or subject to legal action.


For internal reasons, such as commercial and operational ones, we could share your information with our parent, subsidiaries, and affiliates, including your Protected Information and Usage Information. Additionally, we reserve the right to reveal and transfer all such information in the following circumstances: (i) to a new owner, co-owner, or operator of the Services or relevant database; or (ii) in connection with a corporate merger, consolidation, restructuring, the sale of virtually all of our membership interests and/or assets, or other corporate change, including during any due diligence process.


The use of any information about you that the driver learns while giving you a ride on a bike you’ve reserved via the Services, or in any other way, is not covered by this privacy policy.

In order to offer our customers with the Services, we may disclose your name, vehicle number, driver’s licence number, phone number, profile image (if available), and tracking information if you are a driver.


  1. You are in charge of keeping the data you give us accurate, including any contact information you give us when you register for an account. You can update information on our member information page or by contacting us at the email address provided on our website or mobile application if your protected information changes, is inaccurate, or if you no longer need our services. We will attempt in good faith to implement suggested changes as soon as it is practical to do so in our then active databases.

We may, in our sole discretion, terminate your access to the Services by sending you a written notice to this effect on your registered email id if, after updating or changing the information previously provided to Us, we still find it difficult to permit access to our Services to you because the information is insufficient or inaccurate.


The Use of Protected Information We employ common, industry-wide, commercially reasonable security practises including encryption, firewalls, and SSL (Secure Socket Layers) to protect your information. The information we collect is safely stored in our databases. Despite this, no security system is unbreakable, regardless of how effective encryption technology is. Any information you communicate to the Company at your own risk. We cannot guarantee the security of our databases, nor can we guarantee that the information you supply won’t be intercepted while being conveyed to us via the Internet or wireless connection. We advise you not to share your password with anyone.


We reserve the right to revise this Privacy Policy as our information practises change from time to time. Any modifications will take effect as soon as they are posted in the updated Privacy Policy.
